Trevor Hanson is a guitarist from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. I mostly play seven-string guitars, both nylon- and steel-string.

COVID-19 Update (July 2020): All of the information here about regular performances is of course obsolete, as we wait out the plague. I have played only once since 11 March, and that was to an empty house. I have no current plans for other events. I am not currently doing any livestreaming, despite the temptation. I'm instead using this time for a variety of long-deferred projects. I'll post more information when the situation changes.

I play a busy schedule on the Olympic Peninsula, at a wide range of venues and events.

My solo performances draw on an eclectic mix of material, ranging across classical, jazz, folk, and other traditions. Most notably, I've been playing at Alchemy Bistro & Wine Bar in Port Townsend every Monday since 2011, and also at numerous other venues in the area.

I also sing pub songs -- ballads, sea shanties, and beer-drinking songs -- as a soloist and with others.

In addition to my solo work, I work with many ensembles, playing in genres that span big-band dance music, mainstream jazz, gypsy swing, folk music, Irish pub songs, and some cross-genre material that defies description. You might find me playing in a duo -- joining a saxophone, trombone, keyboard, bass, or another guitar -- or as a sideman in a larger group.

When not performing, I have a little time to offer instruction, either at your home or at Crossroads Music in Port Townsend.
